How are you feeling today?

A series of intimate works that stand alone yet interconnect to create a broad vista. Blue and orange grounds emphasise the liminal shift between light and shade, what is revealed and what is hidden. This colour shift provokes emotions expressed by nature and experienced by the viewer. What could be a bright orange sunset is followed by a quiet moonlit night or a landscape after fire. Each work muses and celebrates natures shifting moods.
A series of hand written questions prompts the viewer to go deeper. However, I am not asking the viewer, I am asking Gariwerd herself the questions. In our most vulnerable and joyous moments, nature listens and holds us. But do we stop and ask how she is feeling? Do we tell her we are listening and grateful for her? Or, do we consume her…. climb the mountain, take the photo and say “we did that “?
