Architecture of a dream is a mothership for compositions that explore how the worlds of art and the imagination can connect us to broader sociocultural and ecological dimensions – micro to macro – offering forms of cultural expression that revolve around a matrixial, symbiotic view of the biosphere – the place where life dwells.

Orbital Biosphere gives imagination to evolving scientific and cultural perspectives on global ecological systems integrating all living beings, their relationships and interactions with themselves, each other and the elements of Earth’s biomes.
The work references ongoing research combining space-based data with Southern Ocean sampling around the Antarctic ice sheet. Orbital Planetary Biosphere Tracking is showing climate driven shifts in Antarctic phytoplankton (diatoms and haptophytes) which are an important form of carbon sequestration and an essential source of food for krill, that in turn are food for whales, penguins, seals and fish.
Monitoring changes in sensitive marine ecosystems at the microscopic level is essential to understanding their health and the role of oceans in regulating Earth’s climate.
