Light Enters a Damaged World

Bronwyn Rodden

2024

Watercolour on paper

This work is inspired by the many beautiful waterfalls along ‘Waterfall Way’ in Gumbaynggirr and Anēwan Country.
The image is torn because the natural world is being torn apart in this region, by native logging, mining and development. But there is light emerging from the break, as we learn more and help restore and heal the environment. As a volunteer bush regenerator of many years, I have seen the good that can be done and the hope that this engenders.
