Watercolour on Paper

A Shared Breath‘ reflects the quiet confluence of river and sea at Stingray Bay. Painted on site in watercolour, the work captures both the transience and resilience of the bay’s ecology and man made forms. The loose brushwork allows the water itself to move through the pigment, echoing the tidal rhythm that shapes this environment.
For me, painting outdoors is a form of listening — to light, to wind, to the silent persistence of place. This piece is both an observation and a feeling: an acknowledgment of the fragile harmony between land and sea, and our place within it.
