Accumulated Landscapes is an evolving body of work that creates dialogue between regional Australian landscapes through layered oil paintings on paper.
A new layer of paint is added to the works, responding to the unique environment of each location. Paper becomes an active participant in this evolution, accumulating history and materiality with each new layer until it approaches its physical limits. The paintings connect how our experience of one landscape influences our perception of another, and how these relationships might evolve over time.

Bonnie Porter Greene’s paintings are intimate recordings, symbols that become wedged in her mind, of lichen, fungi & weather. Nature is a safe place to feel, observe and paint in order to understand our connection to it. The symbiotic relationship of a tiny patch of lichen or the vastness of burnt bushland – her creative process is defined by a sense of fun, exploration, and wonder.
