Earth, Fire, Water, Air and Wisdom

This works reflects the spiritual need to look after our environment. The 5 elements of a stupa have been recognised for centuries in various cultures to explain the complexity of the natural world. These elements Earth, Fire, Water, Air and Ether are fundamental to all life and the universe and importance of maintaining a balance between them is crucial for our existence. These elements are the complexity of all matter which governs our physical and mental states.
In this print I have reflected fire and the loss of vegetation, the threat of bushfires the remaining ash and charged surfaces that remain.
It has never been more evident than now that to adhere to a balance that will secure our future, protect our natural world and live in harmony with it.
