Story: Middens
Saltwater mussel shells whisper tales,
Shell middens along Nassau Beach trails.
Sacred markers, thanks’ embrace,
Kin and relatives, time’s trace.

Generations camped, smiling with pride,
Sustainability, by the seaside.
Each shell speaks of nourishment true,
Connection, tradition, a bond renewed.

More than remnants of meals once shared,
Embodiment of love deeply cared.
Joy and strength, community’s song,
Spirits carried, ages long.

Story: Native Lotus
In the heart of Pinnarinch, where lagoons gleam,
Blossoms the native Lotus, a sacred dream.
With leaves of lush green, in waters pristine,
They grace our sacred lands, a sight serene.

Majestic lilies bloom, a cultural treasure,
For the Kokoberrin people, a gift beyond measure.
Nourishment they bring, sustenance they provide,
In their presence, our ecosystem thrives.
