There can be no turning away from the connection we have to the land and if we all care for our environment together, then much can be achieved.
Shoulder the Burden visually represents the naked truth of our collective responsibility and considers the bleak results if this is not done.
The use of charcoal on paper chosen because it can easily be damaged and this expresses the delicate balance on which we sit. There is no return or escape from devastation and our own demise if we don’t care for the land around us.
