This house Has Been Lived In – Clean and Tidy and Loved is a cyanotype print created using found natural materials collected from the overlooked edges of my backyard: fallen leaves, twigs and fragments of growth. Arranged loosely across the page, the composition embraces a scattered chaotic rhythm, echoing the natural disorder of the environment itself.
The cyanotype process transforms these elements into ghostly blue imprints, delicate marks that capture both structure and fragility. The result is an impression of life often unseen, a quiet ecosystem unfolding in places we pass by without noticing.
The work reflects a sense of intimacy with the land, not as a pristine landscape, but as a lived-in space, shaped by time, decay, and quiet resilience. It asks the viewer to consider how we engage with the spaces that support us, and how care can be expressed through close attention to the overlooked and imperfect.
